Brent originally came out to Los Angeles from North Carolina at the age of 19 to study history at UCLA. A near native, the Los Angeles community has become his extended family with connections and clients in every corner of the sprawling city. His passion for studying history and government has lent itself well to fully understanding and navigating the world of taxes and tax resolution. In his 25 years as a tax preparer, he has done thousands of individual and small business returns including returns for corporations, partnerships and LLCs. Brent has the experience to also handle more of the complex tax issues such as fiduciary returns, non-profits, foreign income, multi-state returns, rental properties, and gift tax returns.

As an Enrolled Agent (EA) Brent Irek has extensive experience in tax resolution including audits and offers in compromises. An Enrolled Agent is the highest credential awarded by the IRS. An EA is a tax adviser, who is a federally authorized and empowered by the US Department of Treasury. As an EA, Brent can represent you in any communications or dealings with the IRS that you may encounter.

Outside of the office, Brent was a competitive powerlifter and continues to be an avid cyclist, always on quest to live his healthiest life. He lives in LA with his wife and two dogs Booger and Lilas. Always a fan of problem solving, Brent is one of the few people you might meet who actually enjoys doing taxes.
